what way are you guys installing your quick fill caps? on an angle?
From what i can see, the real cobras had them pop open towards the trunk lid.

If you quarter the lid front to back & side to side my hinge is centered in the upper inside quadrant

The angle is required to prevent the cap from hitting the body, when open. You want the cap to swing inward, and out of the way when opened, otherwise it would just interfere with the pump hose, when filling.
