Did BMW copy the 818 design cues?

The BMW Z4 concept car sure looks like they "borrowed " some of the design features of the 818. It's a nice looking car, and I think the mirrors they use would look great on the 818.
Carbon fiber a few years ago was developing mirrors for the GTM and 818. Maybe we can talk him into copying these:rolleyes:

The front hood/grille reminds me of the older 6 series with the lower section kind of reminiscent of the lower grille of a lambo. The one part that does look 818ish is the rear humps, but lots of cars have those.

Concept cars rarely make it to prod as what they look like as a concept car. It will be interesting to see what BM does here.
Or does it mean the 818 took some concept cars ideas to production? :)

Take another look. There isn't a single thing on that BMW that even remotely looks like the 818.
Oh wait, they both have WHEELS!
