Gents,

How do I go about repairing a late version FFR radiator with bent fins. I purchased a cheap-0 AutoCraft 6 n 1 fin straightener but it's not going to work. Doesn't come close to the honey comb fin configuration.

Cant help you there but I purchased one of these, trimmed it to size and painted it black and attached with a sort of zip tie device to protect my radiator from further damage. Works great.

Thank you Scott. That will surely help things from getting worse.

I have used popsicle sticks with success, they seem to be the right thickness, they are soft enough to not damage a fin, and you get a treat as you work. The dog also likes popsicles, so that makes me special.

Scott -

did you mount the honey comb with the "Honeycomb Mounting Kit for Transmission Coolers/Fans/Shrouds"?

Thanks Derald

I just so happen to have some popsicles in the freezer. I'll give that technique a try.

You just rescued me too. I accidentally knocked over my chassis dolly the other day which was leaning against the wall, and it fell against the radiator. Even though I had the front and back of the radiator protected with cardboard, it took a hit.
