Home at last!

Well we picked up my289 usrrc complete kit Monday am. We've got about 1/2 the inventory done and as a reward, we installed the front suspension. There are a couple of nuts that I can't get a torque wrench on, so I just tightened the snot out of them. I'm going to start a blog this weekend and I'll post some pictures.

Should be fun.

Welcome from another 289 builder! Have fun, and don't be afraid to ask questions. There are a few detail differences with the 289. Be sure you have the latest 289 addendum to the instructions. There are a handful of us in various stages of build right now. I'm very close to first prime.

Welcome. I too have a 289 kit, however I haven’t had a chance to start yet. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I have been having a little health problem, so I've been stuck at home for a couple weeks, and as such I got a lot of work done on the car. Front suspension and brakes are in, about a quarter of the aluminum is mounted and most of the rest is all pre-drilled and installed with Clecos. The center section of the rear end is in,all the mods have been done to the spindles and the rear brakes are ready to go. Just waiting for the rear A arms(POL). Pedal box is in,emergency brake is the assembled, but not installed. Gas tank is assembled but not installed, waiting on plastic cover(POL) Tires mounted and balanced. My raw steel parts are all back from Powdercoat. This mornings project is the hood hinges

Wow, that all sounds good, but I don't see any pictures. I guess that means it didn't really happen... ;-o)
