Received tech update from FFR on 2015 IRS driveshaft bolts

Apparently the aluminum driveshaft flange they sent out was thicker than before and they have sent longer bolts to install. Nice they keep up with issues like that and sent a fix unsolicited before there is a problem. Be on the lookout for this if you have the IRS option.

Something tells me my driveshaft safety loop is going to be right in the way and this easy job will not be so easy. Riding out tropical storm Irma today so won't be messing with it for a few days.

I got the same Tech Update, first thing I did was put a magnet on drive shaft flange and it stuck. I guess I don't have to change the bolts. Will call FFR to verify.

I haven't received anything yet. Tried to look under the car but can't see anything with it sitting on the ground. Before jacking it up, found these pictures. It's a Spicer flange (pretty common) and doesn't look like the picture in the tech update documentation. Just by the looks of it, I suspect it's not aluminum. Plus the bolt locations are much thinner. Don't think I have a problem. Since mine was also an IRS complete kit, wonder how they which one was supplied?

Side note. Took these pictures when several of us were fretting about how close the driveshaft came to the rear e-brake cable mount. Some actually had interference. Mine didn't, but I did trim that corner over to give more clearance than shown here.
