I have fitted body on for door fitting and alignment. Its very tight to say the least, with all the panels in place. Front and rear mounts /holes / bolts align good, the sides need a awl to align and fit bolts in, but now the door mounting is all jacked. The driver side is way off at striker and passenger side front gap is way off......do you guys think the body is stressed? the header/sidepipe alignment is almost spot on. ay advise is appreciated . BTW MK1!

The MKI's were very poor on a lot of items. Hood, trunk and doors really didn't fit good. I know, I have one. I did A LOT of work on those items to make them look like a steel body rather than the funky glass mold look, but that's just me. You'll need to do some trimming and possibly glass work on the doors to make them fit right. Before F5 had adjustable door hinges they only had the fixed ones. I had to cut and move both sides to have my doors open correctly. The P door hinge went 1" outward to make it fit right. It all depends on what you want. If the body is on as it will be going down the road, fit the doors to your liking. I doubt the body is stressed if all the holes line up. Good luck.
