Pipes don't touch the body but it sure gets warm around the opening

Is this a concern for potentially damaging the fiberglass and/or paint?
After a long drive I noticed the body area just adjacent to the pipes was pretty warm. Never really thought about this much but is this any concern?

It can be pretty close without doing any damage. I wouldn't be too concerned

I've seen paint blistered on two roadsters but both were all but touching; like about 1/8" gap at rest. Ironically enough both were FE powered.
