Starting to work on aluminum dash, any pics out there for fitment? Is it slightly above the frame and how do the sides get tucked in?

There are several ways to do it. Check some build threads. I personally like to mount it so it can come out with the body on in case of needed repair or modification. check post 31

Mike, I added aluminum L brackets, 3/4" x 3/4" x 1.50" long x 3/32" thick, see pic. Locate them where you can reach with a long allen wrench from underneath "after the dash is installed". Not much room for a hex head bolt. I took a scrap pc of material, drilled a .195" Dia hole (same as bolt size.... #10) and c'sunk oversize, large enough to compensate for the bolt and dash material thickness. Use an extra flat head screw and hammer it to create the c'sink shape in the aluminum. I added two bolts to hold the dash to the L bracket. Make sure you don't deform the (flatness) dash. Try on a scrap part. Use JB Weld to hold the screw to the dash and cover the head (allen wrench or screw driver slots) with RTV to prevent the shape from showing thru when you cover the dash with leather/vinyl. I also used rivet nuts in the dash frame rail attach the L bracket.

On my MK3.1, I used the instructions that Breeze offered on their web site. Fit like a glove. The new MKIV body, with the roll in that area may make those instructions obsolete.

The ends need to be bent back to behind the upper door hinge. I used a small L brace to hold the corners of the dash in place. I seem to recall trimming a tad off the ends to accommodate them, but some builders just bend the ends outward towards the post.

I prefer to let the ends follow the body so they get tucked in between the hinge and the fiberglass. this is my old MkII
