FFF Blogs? how-to help needed

Trying out some of the other capabilities of the new Factory Five Forum.
Is there any help on how to use them?

I created a couple Blogs yesterday (never did it before) and trying to confirm it's correct. My first post, I created as a Draft, but I'm not sure it's visible (can someone confirm? it's called "My Build Plan part 1"). I see the other ones I created: "My Build Plan part 2 (continued)", " 4/4/2011 Delivery Day!", and " 4/10 Body Off and IFS On".

Am I doing this correctly?


Also, is there any advantage to using the FFF Photo Gallery over Photobucket?

last question, creating my Blog, can i provide a link to friends to see only my Blog entries? (I'm trying to document my build)

You can also get to it by clicking on your name next to any post and choosing the Blog link.

I don't see your Part 1 post; perhaps it isn't published. If you can see it, hold your mouse over the title and a edit buttun should appear. click it to edit your blog post. There might be an option to publish it in there... Gotta run for a sec, will verify when I get back.

Edit: Yep, hit the edit button and then click the Advanced button below the editor. A publish drop down will appear lower down the page, below the editor.

The advantage of hosting the pics here is that it takes out the disconnect that sometimes happens with 3rd party links. Go to the other site and do some searches of old threads and you will see many of the img links are now broken...

Thanks David, that worked Publishing it (I couldn't find it last nite), but now my Blogs are out of sequence :(

and glad to hear about the galleries being saved, I hate missing PICs in a Post. :eek:

I went back and changed the publish setting from "Publish Now" to "Publish On" in the Advanced edit mode. When I did that it allowed me to choose the date, which I set to the day before Part 2. Your blog entries are now in sequence.
