I am changing to a '87-'93 power rack. Shipping a complete one from Breeze would be great, but too expensive.
Do I need to buy the extenders and install them? Or are they only for certain year of rack? I need educating so please dumb it down for me!

If you ordered a power rack from Factory Five, then the extra length is built in; however, if you are using a Mustang OEM or OEM replacement rack, then it is recommended that you use the extenders.

I installed a ’93 Mustang, 3.0 turn Part# 6406 (Reman from Autozone), no extenders needed for me.

No you don't 'need' them. But, enough work has been done over the years that it is pretty much established that the extenders will help reduce bump steer. It is not that much more difficult to do them later if you want to save the $ now. BTW, you will also need new longer rack boots to accommodate them.
