I have the Wilwood pedals & MCs. Can I get feedback on the following:

1. The manual shows banjo fittings being used on the inlet line of the MC. I've seen a number of builders use AN adapters and lines. Is one method better / preferred over the other?

2. I've seen some builders use -4AN for inlet lines and others use -6AN. Is one preferred over the other? (I assume the -6AN is more preferable since this is a low pressure setup.)

3. If AN adapters are used instead of banjo fittings, is a crush washer required or does the inverted flare on the adapter / MC create the seal? (I would use Wilwood PN 220-7537)

1. Either banjo or AN adapters will work. I generally don't care for banjo fittings on the calipers where the articulating hose can put stress on them in a direction that may tend to loosen them. But would have no problem using them on the M/C inlet.

2. I prefer using larger hose on the inlet since this is gravity fed. I also like that it adds a bit more reservoir capacity. Not a big benefit unless you have a long hose.

3. Wilwood makes two versions of the AN adapters, one uses a washer as a seal and the other an o-ring. As far as I can tell, they're the same basic part but I've had them ship with either an o-ring or sealing washer. I've used both and have no complaints. As you can see by the price, they're proud of these adapters but you can save a bit by sourcing these from your friends at Summit Racing.
