For quite some time I have lurked on this site as well as the other FFR site, a coupe builder/owner wanna be. This week after personally meeting Dave Smith in London, Ohio and just being even further impressed with FFR I have made the commitment and now have a completion date of July 30th for my coupe kit.
I have built several streetrods in the past but have been without any car/project for almost 4 years! That is all about to change.
I look forward to many converstions with folks on this foum, my goal is to try to immitate the quality builds and workmanship and friendhip I have observed in this forum.
Any and all advice is welcome, I have a lot to learn.

Thank you,
Bob Johnson
Marion, IN

I have ordered the complete kit with the Wilwood brakes all around and plan a modest 302/350 hp with T5 and 17 inch wheels.

Sounds like a winner! I'll enjoy watching your build.

Don't forget, you have your own blog here in case you want to use it as a build journal.

Good luck, and congratulations!

:)

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the forum. I received my straitjacket not long ago and, so far, haven't felt like I needed to put it on. I'm sure the day will come in due course. FYI, if you decide to pick up your coupe at the factory, there is a really cool bed and breakfast in nearby Sandwich, Mass. called The Belfry, which also has a great restaurant.

Raise your right hand and say after me,

"I Bob Johnson, do swear/affirm, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"

Bob,

It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

Thank you to all. I have arranged shipment through Stewart and am now just counting the days. I did take the oath as directed above and I'm sure I won't need any help in spending any and all available cash that my wife will give me. :)

Thank you Russ, As already mentioned there are several guys here waiting to spend my money. I have visited your web site and plan to send some of my money your way, you have some great items that will certainly help with my build. I will be in touch once the shock of the original expense has worn off a little. :)

Everyone says this is insanity. It's not. It is the people out there without FFRs that are insane. Trust me, I used to be one of them. Your sanity is about to commence. Enjoy it! :^)

I'm looking forward to the "ride", the good the bad and the ugly. What I have done in the past was when something wasn't working out the way it was supposed to I would walk away and come back later. I don't have a deadline. I am looking forward to asking alot of questions and relying on expert opinion through this forum :)
