$100,000 Raised for Cystic Fibrosis and Perfect Weather Greets Show Participants!
Huge news to report this year from the annual London, Ohio C-car Show! The weather was great, the crowd was huge, and the number of replicas in attendance was about 200! The biggest news of the show was that the Factory Five "Dick Smith Replica" give-away car, charity rides, and Ohio C-car Club t-shirt sales all combined raised a whopping $100,000 that was donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the Saturday night banquet.

Jenny Smith (left) and Emily Kern (right) both have Cystic Fibrosis and were judges of the chocolate chip cookie tasting contest.
The nice weather enabled 415 drag race runs for charity down Main Street (!) at $10 a ride. Customers volunteered to take people for rides for charity. VIP guests Bob Bondurant and Allan Grant were present all day to sign autographs, judge the cookie contest, and tell stories of vintage racing.

RedlineReview.com Chief Editor Brian Smith was on hand to report on the event and his website has some GREAT coverage of the event and photos. Click here (http://www.redlinereview.com/london-cobra-show.htm) to visit RedlineReview.com. There were a ton of other vendors at the show and almost every replica manufacturer was present.
I brought my daughters Nicole, Madison, and Jennifer to help out. Jennifer, if you recall, was the inspiration for the very first LCS and she was tickled to share the limelight with Emily Kern, another girl with CF. The event was a ton of fun and it was great meeting customers and seeing so many well built replicas in one place. Most of the action was on Saturday and besides the awards dinner and Sunday morning pancake breakfast, the event was mostly a Saturday cruise and car show. Scroll down for some of the photos that I took at the event and photos from customer Mark Pattersen.
If you can only attend one replica show next year, the London C-car Show ought to be at least in your top 3 finalists. Huge thanks and congratulations to all of the members of the Ohio C-car Club for their hard work and professionalism that made the event so fun. Hope to see you next year!
