Pinion Angles >>> Consider Checking Them From Time To Time

Hey Gang,

I don't know if any of you have read the Gumball's recent driveline vibration thread, but I suggest that you do.
With that said I decided to check my pinion angle since I've done between 7-9 miles of Go-Kart Testing.
To my surprise after just a little driving things settled in a bit and my pinion angle was out a couple degrees.
With a quick unlocking of my upper link and an upper link adjustment, I am now back to factory specs.
Remember that it can't hurt to check your pinion angles from time to time.

I might add that you should first verify ride height then pinion angle. As the springs droop a bit it changes ride height which can change pinion angle on solid axle cars with FFR original length control arms.

I'm hoping to put about 100 miles on the car in Go-Kart mode so I'll be putting together a "Check List" in an attempt to correct any mechanical issues before I get into the body work phase.
