Hello All,
I finished all my changes to my Electric MK2this weekend I preparation for an event this coming weekend at Laguna Seca. Here is the list:

17"-10" RPF1 wheels with A7's. Changed from 17" Pin Drive. This saved me 17lbs. per wheel and tire.

Front air dam, with 3.5" splitter

full under tray, with rear defuser.

Tonneau cover

adjustable rear spoiler

Also removed my 2 speed Powerglide Trans. If setup works on track will add electric reverse.

changed to a 2.73 final drive from a 3.08.

The changes got the weight down to 2,100 lbs, down from 2,250 .

Here are some pictures of the changes.6917369174691756917669177

Wow! Watched the Laguna Seca video. Very cool. This is the first I have heard/seen of an electric Cobra. Do you have the build documented online anywhere? Would love to learn more about how you did this.
Well done!

Ok, weekend went great !
Car changes all worked as designed. The only change made was to increase the rear spoiler angle its highest angle (72 deg.) Because the car wanted the over steer coming over the start finish crest if I lifted off the accelerator.
I could only do 4 laps at a reduced power level (185hp, 600 torque) before the air cooled motor got to hot. In the one lap time trail I turned it up to 300hp and 1000plus foot pounds of torque and the motor was over temp in the one lap. I didn't use dry ice in my cool box that feeds the motor, because last year my carbon brushes all cracked and fell apart due to the cold shock. I think this was my fault, because I forgot to turn on the motor fan for about half a session and when I came in to re-charge, I added more dry ice . I think this shocked the over heated brushes. Next time, I will use dry ice only when the motor is cooled down from the beginning of a session.
The weakest link of my car is still me ! I need to go to the track more than once a year to keep my reflexes in tune. Their is an easy 4-5 seconds in the car to be had.
Oh yaa, the lap time from the TT was a 1:51. I missed the conversion record by two seconds :( Oh well , get-em next year !
