It was quieter than years past likely due to the unsettled weather we have been having. I was there and it was a good time. The lower attendance (I think) was evident with no GTM's this year whereas last year there was 4-5, there was 4 33's if I recall correctly and maybe 4 or 5 coupes. The weather was fantastic and likely here will be posts with pics tomorrow when FF crew are back at work. They did an awesome job as usual and am very grateful for all the work they put in. Only have a couple of road pics though.

On the way there.

Busy weekend haven't had a chance to sort out my pictures yet. For me the best part was unofficially tagging along with the 12-14 roadsters that meet up at the rt 24 rest stop near 495. I say unofficial because my roadster is still a dream and I was in my daly driver. Some day I will be officially part of the parade

I'd like more info on that white car with the center/front roll hoops.

This next to last pic, the purple 818...notice the aluminum on the passenger side...is that paint ?? It appears to be in a granite type of finish?

Does anyone know how this was done?

I went to the open house but did not take my 818 as I did not want to drive it for an hour, plus I needed to bring 3 other people.

I did notice that on one of the cobras, aluminum had this same finish as well.

It looks like a hammered finish paint.

...

Powder coat. Some powder manufacturers refer to it as "hammered" or "hammertone":

Others refer to it as "veined":

The same type and texture finish is available in a variety of colors.

Yep, that's ours. It's powder coat, a Prismatic Powders color called Silver Artery (https://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/PVS-3014/SILVER-ARTERY/). It's our go to for all our sheet metal panels. It looks great and tends to hide nicks and scratches which you are going to get once you start driving it.

We had a great time. It was good to see what folks are doing with their builds.

I need to gather our images and post a few later today.

Out of curiosity, was there any further discussion of the '33 HR Pickup? I vaguely remember Dave mentioning this in a thread some time ago.

There were 5 customer 818s, one 818C and four 818Ss plus the two FFR 818Cs, the black Koni car (first coupe built) plus the blue Ecoboost car.
