French Factory Fives?

Greetings from a New Zealander living in the UK (and soon to be living in France).

I've owned one AC Cobra replica (a Crendon 427SC) and my next steer will be a FFR beastie, if the French system allows.

So, who out there owns a FFR car in France and has it French registered?

Was it a royal pain in the butt to get all the paperwork sorted?
