Hi

I have an oil leak near the fuel pump that is driving me crazy. I get oil droplets on the underside of the hood near the driver's side of the hood scoop. I cleaned everything and checked everything for tightness. The attached picture shows new oil on the top of the fuel pump after driving it for 20 minutes. It appears to be on the "pressure" side of the oil circuit thus allowing it to spray the underside of the hood. There was a little water on the top of the fuel pump after I washed it before the latest test drive. The oil on the underside of the hood was a little milky (usually it is clear) which leads me to believe it came from the top of the fuel pump. I can't see anything when idling or revving the engine in the driveway. Any thoughts? 68596

I'd try replacing the the gasket where the pump meets the block and check your oil pressure gauge fitting at the block. Try loosening it and then re-tightening (looks like and AN fitting). Sometimes they will leak if too tight. Are you sure oil is not being slung off the balancer? Chasing leaks is a pain, newspaper under the car overnight may also give you a clue to the source of the leak. Good luck. Scott
