First off.... This is a very different movie from the original.
I love the first and find a strong moral/coming-of-age story line in it with no agenda. This one has some universal moral lessons in it, with a strong "big-oil" bad!!! message. While kids will not likely pick up on the "oil-bad" message it is there.

It is a great movie that is fun and funny, I enjoyed it as well as my wife and teen-aged daughter.

I don't want to say too much about the movie and spool it for some. If you liked the first go see this one or wait for DVD. It was worthy of my time and money and Im sure it will be yours as well.

Is there such a place as tightwad Texas?

yes, believe it or not!!!!! Lot's of history in the name involving tightwads produced by a cotton gin back in the 1800s. The area is now known as Prairie Point.

I enjoyed Cars 2, but liked the first one better. Like Mark, I don't want to give any spoilers. It's a fun movie. I went with a couple of friends and we couldn't help but point out that we're three twenty-somethings going to see Cars 2 on a Friday night...nothing wrong with that.

Dave: Not as bad as when I saw Fantasia 2000 when it came out. 5 guys in Vegas at 9PM with no wives along, and there we were going to see a Disney cartoon at the IMAX theater in the Luxor...

I liked Cars 2 - not as good as the original, but still good if you just think of it as the next episode. I'm sure there will be more. I also thought it was cool that they snuck Lewis Hamilton in there, and that the Francesco casting was based on John Turturro's performance as Jesus in The Big Lebowski.
