What are some of the options everyone has used for their firewall, undercoating, heat & sound deadening materials (mats, spray,s, etc...)? 818C ~ would like to cut down on road noise.

I have seen a lot on the build threads, from truck bed lining, adhesives, fat mat to HVAC liners! Any recommendations for each application? I am not too concerned about adding additional weight, just want to know the best options out there.

Used Lizard Skin on the interior for sound and heat protection. Great Product...very impressed.

A local manufacture sent me experimental heat insulation. It is adhesive backed, 3/8" thick, thick embossed foil on heat side with fiberglass wool inner layer. I'm guessing 3 to 5 lbs for rear firewall. This is what it looks like after 2 years 3000 miles. I am very happy with it.

This is an excellent, lightweight product. One of the many places I used it was on my plane's lower engine cowling which came within 3/4" of the exhaust headers. Never saw any issues with the fiberglass or the exterior paint.

I added an extra outer layer of aluminum skin to my framework around passenger compartment which I plan to coat with the lizardskin product. I'm only coating the side that contacts the framework. Hopefully this will quiet the interior a bit. Might prevent rattles too.
