Heater Box outlets?

The heater box has four air outlets, 2 are round and 2 are oval shaped...does it matter which two are used for the heater tubing and which two are used for the defroster outlets? When looking into the box they all mix in one open area, so it would seem to not matter which outlet is used for heat or defrost...thanks!

...and you'll notice that the 2 inch flex hose fits over both the round or the oval. (I used all four for foot box heat.)

I only used two and capped off the other two. On the right I used one flex tube and went directly to the heater outlet. On the left I ran one tube to the heater outlet with two PVC T's and short flex tubes to the defroster outlets. This cut down on the amount of tubing I had to deal with behind the dash and worked just as well.

Just as an aside, instead of the supplied elongated outlets, I used round defog outlets that could be shut off. When they are off, it blows all the heat down into the cockpit/foot box's. It makes for far more comfortable cruising in the colder months and at night. Without a roof, I never have the windshield fogging anyway. I have used the defog outlet to warm my fingers at times..:)

I used all four - lower ones for the foot box outlets and the top two for the defroster vents.

I used some 90* PVC elbows to get the hot air to the cowl defroster vents, too - visible at the far top of this pic....
