Hey guys
I am looking to upgrade my rear 4 link donor mustang suspension to coilover
I want to keep the 4 link for now and just want to replace the existing spring and shock setup
I have included a pic of the current shock mount and a pic of what I was planning. Can I reuse the lower small "C" bracket to hold the new coilover? If I need a different bracket can you send me a link of where to buy it?
Do I just drill a hole through both sides of the triangle bracket at the top?
I am leaning toward the coilover from Vintage performance Auto or the KONI from FFR. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The current spring setup works but requires regular turning of the spring to keep the ride height correct.

On my Mk3, all I did was pull off the coil springs and shocks and replace with the coilovers. Adjusted the ride height and all's good to go!

Remove the shock and spring and then remove that lower shock bracket. Drill out the hole through both layers to 1/2 inch. Get a 1/2 inch by 4??? inch Grade 8 bolt. Install it so the head is forward, inside the axle bracket, and the thread end is to the rear. Yes this is single shear but it will be fine like mine was. At some point you may want to upgrade to 3 link axle brackets but I ran mine as described for over a year.
