Spend some time today to make a new trans cover.
The trans cover was cut in three sections. However I did not want to show those seams so made a new one piece.
I oversized the width in order to fit insulation and carpet by 1/4" on each side.

While at it I installed the trim ring for the shifter and the hand brake.
Of course because the hand brake is moved to the driver side I had to modify the trim ring as well.

Came out pretty well. Need to paint the trim rings black yet.

Also glued on the padding for upholstery. Need to buy some more vinyl this week and finish the dash parts.
Planning to do some door panels too.

Nice work John! My roadster handle was on top of the transmission tunnel. I used a Lokar handle, but it did not work very well. On my coupe I used the Mustang handle on the passenger side, as designed. I always forget you cannot apply of release the handle if you are belted in. I would like to find one that works well, on top of the tunnel. Which handle did you go with?

Mine is a locar too. I wanted it in the OEM car position which entailed some doctoring but not to bad in the end. It is not as smooth as an OEM, but it works.
