Disregard this. Not the front spindle, I need to look elsewhere.

I'll see if I can explain this best I can. When I have the car set at ride height, wheels off and the suspension at normal ride height I went ahead and set the castor. I have the tie rods undone also. So the front spindle should swing back and forth fairly easily. It did with the castor set at about 3.5. Now I have upper and lower Gordon Levy control arms so I have a lot of adjustment. The lowers were set equal distance to get the track width set. The uppers I started adjusting to get more castor since this car has power steering. When I started approaching 5 and I was shooting for 7 degrees the swing of the spindle seemed to start getting harder to swing like it was binding up. I did manage to get 7 degrees but had to adjust the lowers to move the ball joint slightly further to the front of the car. Now I do have right at 7 degrees on both side but even with the power steering the steering seems like it is "sticking" when even doing the slightest turn of the wheel. Not very smooth. The swing of the spindle just seems like it is binding, kind of like the ball joint is binding up. Do I move the lower one forward a little more and the upper back a little to make this swing easier? I should have some time this weekend to take it back apart and experiment some with this. Just curious if this is a normal problem or could something else be wrong. This car is a MK III with the SAI mod on it also. I did not install the SAI mod so I can not verify to how correct it was installed.

Did you loosen all the bolts on the upper arm, clamp bolts that hold arm together. Pull wheel off and with the jack holding the suspension up close to ride height, try it again. See if anything is binding, may have to take both wheels off.
