So I am using the motor and trans from an 89 Corvette. This motor has an oil cooler on it and I was thinking about using it as well. Part of it goes between the oil filter and the block and then hoses run up to a cooler that mounts behind the radiator. Has anyone else done this or know if there are going to be any issues doing it?

A photo of the cooler adapter mounted on the engine showing the hose connections would help.

I will have to do that later. Right now the Vette will not start (Bad Fuel pump) and it is out in the drive way. It sits low enough that I can not get a camera under the car.

As you probably know, most oil coolers on the roadsters are mounted in the oil cooler opening below the rad, using braided stainless, (or even black rubber), hoses. Best to use something flexible rather than hard lines for this, because of engine torque movement, and being the cooler is mounted to the body/frame.
I have seen small OEM oil coolers attached with hard lines, but they are supported by the hard lines themselves, and not attached to the frame or body. If the Vette motor had that kind, and you have the room, you might be able to still get away with using it.
