Greetings:
I have the Ron Francis chassis wiring harness, which only has the two light blue wires for the clutch safety cut-out switch, and I'm using the donor's OEM pedal box and clutch switch from an 1988 Mustang. This switch has two connectors, both which are normally open - one to prevent engine start unless the clutch pedal is depress (the feature I need, which is incorporated into the RF harness), and the other is to prevent engine over-revving while the cruise control is on (a feature which I won't need). Therefore, I only really need one connector, but will take both, if that's the only way I can get them. Basically, I'm looking for the OEM style pigtail for this switch. There are companies which still make and/or sell the switch itself, but none (including Ron Francis) which has the pigtail).
The prongs on the switch are surrounded by plastic, which prevents the use of typical electrical connectors, including the spade type. Short of attempting to get a soldering gun in the switch and hoping that I'm able to perform a good job soldering the wires to the prongs, I've basically wasted my money on this switch. I understand that I could use the RF wires for the tranny's neutral safety switch, but I'm not crazy about that feature, especially when it's the only one. I'd rather have to depress the clutch in order to start the engine.
If anyone has this pigtail, and would not mind parting ways with it for a fair price, please let me know. I've attached photos of the switch itself, and it installed on the pedal box.
