Anyone titled a cobra in Maryland recently and was process easy? Also do they title them as 1965?

I did mine two weeks ago, assumption is new kit. MD uses the year the frame is built. You have to bring your documentation (sales receipt for frame, engine and trans w/ serial #) and tow car to Glen Bernie on Tuesday morning only (8:30 - 12:30). MVA will check serial #'s and give you paper work to pay sales tax and Temp plates/registration. Pay the sales tax and other fees, and MVA will install stickers on the frame. You will have temp tags so you can drive it home. You will have 30 days to get the safety inspected then go back to MVA to make your temp tags/registration good for 2 years. A couple weeks later you will get a notice for vehicle emission inspection. When you go for vehicle emission inspection - go to the office area and they will have paper work to fill out because kit cars in MD are exempt from emission inspection so you will never have to get the emissions inspected.

Thanks Gary
Thought we were going to live in Virginia, but moving to Maryland instead, house prices by the pentagon are to expensive. Does your title say 1965 or the year your frame was constructed, I know some states say 1965 constructed in what ever year they were built? Also does Maryland require windsheild wipers?

what receipts do they need? Just those for the kit and drivetrain components? Also you have me concerned as none of my receipts (breeze and five star Ford) have serial numbers on them. I guess I will call and ask. I should be ready in less than a month.

Find a way to move to VA. You can register your new kit FFR as a 65 and the gun laws are a lot more reasonable.
