The radiator in my cobra I just purchased has a very small leak. It is about one drip every day or two.
The rad looks brand new and is the black one that comes with the mk3 kit I think.
I have three options I guess:
1- leave it be and keep an eye on the level. Clean up the drop from time to time.
2- replace the rad. I cannot find the same black on factory five. Any suggestions?
3- try one of the little leak deal pills. This seems like the best idea but I have heard mixed reviews.

What would everyone here recommend?
Is there a 4th option?

I cannot speak from experience, but on the other forum there were strong recommendations for alumaseal. http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/582785-drip-drip-drip.html

Is the black rad that comes from factory five aluminum?

I've not known of any FFR radiators being black. The aluminum one they have offered for 10+ years has always been raw and unpainted. Perhaps you have a Mustang unit? Pics would help.

It's been maybe 40 years and I can't guarantee it was actually alumaseal but it was a grey powder....it brought a BMW 2002 home on a 6 hour trip from a Lime Rock track day and next day found a 6 inch crack along the center top of the head that had sealed well enough to make the trip.

Back in the day Alumaseal is about the only thing that would keep the coolant where it belonged on tens of thousands of the dreaded old Cadillac HT4100 engines :p What genius thought it was a good idea to use an aluminum intake and cast iron heads on an aluminum block?

Option 4 would be take it to a radiator shop and have them fix it.

I would make that option 1 myself.

I concur with Avalanch325.
Option #4 will save you a lot of aggravation down the road.
