Anyone else having trouble with the complete kit supplied starter relay sticking? Has happened twice now. Smacked it with a wrench and the starter disengaged.

Yep. Two different cars, both times within the first dozen starts. Replaced 'em with Echlin solenoids from NAPA and tens of thousands of miles later both have been flawless.

Or just don't use one. If you're using the PMGR mini-starter (isn't everyone these days??) it has the solenoid built in. The firewall starter solenoid isn't necessary. I haven't used one yet.

Many of us used the remote solenoid, as it could also be used as an always hot 12v source. That's just the way it was done when doing a donor build..
No reason these days with so few donor builds, that a junction block couldn't be used for that, and the starters solenoid used instead..
