HI again, more problems

I tried to reverse the intake plenum as the manual says, and on my engine (06 GTO LS2) there is a oil pressure stalk with the OP switch sticking up preventing it. Has anyone run into this? Whats the cure, get a valley pan without the oil pressure switch and relocate it? Thanks, Bill

I think the FFR kit comes with a 90 degree fitting that goes in there so that you can still mount the oil pressure sender.

The cure is to either cut the riser off and turn it 90 degrees by cutting at a 45 and rotating, then welding, or to cap it and move the pressure sensor down to the side of the engine. You can tap in on the bypass block on the filter, put the sensor on a remote filter housing if you are using one, or K Tech(and I am sure others) makes an adapter to screw into the galley plug down by the filter.

As crash said, you will have to cut that boss off to gain clearance. You will also want to pay close attention to the plastic "webbing" on the bottom side of the intake in relation to the steam vent tubes under the intake. I know that with many of the LS engines, the intake looks to sit ok when you turn it around, but it's really sitting on top of that vent tube and if you don't trim the webbing back the intake will never seat and seal properly.
