I am still fitting the alum panel, trying to align and drill all the holes.
I noticed in the build manual, it instructs to not drill into the main frame tube for riveting the floor panel down.
Naturally, I studied some posted pictures to see how it looks and see some rivets running on top of the main tube.
Which way and why?
Thanks,

sorry I posted this under builds by mistake

I've run a line of rivets down the 4 inch frame tube on the cockpit floors of all my builds. I lay it out carefully so I'm hitting right in the center/top of the tube. IMO there aren't enough rivets otherwise and I don't think it hurts anything. I've seen many others do the same thing. But there are plenty of others that don't think it's necessary and don't want to drill into the tube. I've not seen or heard any real disadvantages though. Your choice and what you're comfortable with IMO.

Thanks edwardb. I appreciate your time and input on helping me out. I have a couple of pieces of sheet metal I need to identify.
I will get the numbers and try to post a pic, if I can.

Likewise, I installed rivets on the centerline of the tubes to install the floors. I actually used the 3/16" rivets, spaced 6 inches apart. I have also tapped 10-32 screw holes along both tubes for the brake lines and fuel lines. I don't see an issue with drilling into the tubes at all. I think with the floors it may prevent future squeaks as the silicone alone may debond after a period of time.
