Ford engine

Hello,
I am new to this forum and planning to build my MK4 sometime in fall 2017.
Where could I find the difference between all different Ford engine code.
I hear Coyote, 302, 306, 347W, 351, 427. Some are cubic inch of the engine and some are engine code isn't it?
Is there a reference document that will explain all the different type?
Also, do they all fit into a MK4 or some won't fit?

the coyote is what most people call the modern mustang/f-150 5.0 (302) engine, and what i have in my build. the other blocks are commonly known by the displacement. the difference from say a "###"w (Windsor) and "###"c (Cleveland) is the top part of the engine and corresponding heads. Windsor parts are normally easier to find with more options. as far as fitting they will all fit, but note that the coyote is much larger engine in size then the others. a 351-427 can easily be dropped in vs a lot of modifications that are normally needed to get the coyote in. If you want something simple Coyote will be a head scratcher that will add a lot of complication to the build but offers better fuel mileage, torque (relative to displacement). the coyote also has an additional wire harness, computer, oil pan, possibly oil filter that youll have to find places for. But the good news it its been done many times and ffr has a kit and instructions for the coyote install.
