The rain stopped long enough yesterday afternoon for Steve to come over and pick up #7276!

Here is where it all began the day it was delivered:

And just before it drove away yesterday:

What happened in between is in the build and bodywork links below. I'll leave it up to Steve to post a full graduation if he wishes.

My wife and Steve both asked the same thing; "Now that it's done what are you gonna' do?" Well, first thing is to mow the grass :( After that if no one asks me to build another I guess I'll just tear apart my Mk3 for a rebuild ;)

Steve,
It's been a pleasure my friend---enjoy it!

THAT is very cool! Makes me wish I put stripes on my red Mk4. Beatuiful job and excellent craftsmanship.

Thanks guys! I got together with Steve yesterday afternoon to calibrate the speedo & gas guage and tweak the advance curve. Happy to report that he's driving the heck out of it and isn't letting the car cool off a bit!

Hey Dave,
If you make it out to the LCS autocross on Friday I could use a tire warmer/co-driver with the black car ;)

You know, it’s hard to explain the feelings I have after getting something I have wanted for over 40 years.
But it’s AWESOME.
Thanks Jeff, you did an outstanding job.:o

The only difference I see is that the air dam has been removed from the black car in the second picture!!

Beautiful red car, BTW :)

;) After taking the photo I thought that I should have put it on! (it takes about a minute and a half with 4 pins)

Cheers,
Jeff

I have been watching this build for some time. Outstanding craftsmanship!!! Plus your pictures and details along the way were outstanding. It gives me the inspiration to build another myself.
