Pig & Jen, my wife, Dona, and John Tongish conspired together to give me a huge surprise yesterday at the NASA June Jam at Road Atlanta. John flew in from Southern Cal. to be here for my very first track time in the coupe. I got out of the coupe after my first track session and there was John Tongish. I'm not sure what I said but it was probably something like "Holy Cow!"
Thanks to Pig & Jen, Dona & John for a great surprise! What a great Father's Day weekend ... good friends, good food, lots of "liquids" to keep hydrated ... 8 track sessions in blistering heat. Oh, yeah, and the "mother of all thunderstorms!"
Thanks, also, to Joe Camire & Bob Stuke for helping me diagnose and fix a bad shaking/vibration that started in my second track session ... turned out to be a loose pin drive adapter. Of course, Mark Dougherty happened by, as well. Joe managed to find a 12mm allen wrench and torque wrench (thanks, Jim Schenk!) to manage the repair. We checked the other 3 wheels as well, but only the one wheel was affected.
BTW, got signed off for solo!
Happy Father's Day to all!
