I discovered, while putting fuel in the tank, a small hole in the base of the LeMans cap which appears to be a vent to handle any overfill. Wish I had noticed this before I started filling. Anyway, has anyone tried to connect a small rubber tube to the hole so one can at least direct the overfill?

I don't think that vent is meant for fuel. It's there to allow moisture or condensation a way out. Usually the pump clicks off by itself before overflowing. But I still listen carefully for it coming up the fill tube just in case. I also have a pretty good idea before pumping how much fuel is going to be required based on the gauge.

That makes sense and I should have been a bit more careful while adding fuel. I was using a wide mouth gas can and spilled. I think I'll still try to add a tube to help direct any errant fuel. I also realize I posted my question to your build thread. Oops. Sorry.

Thanks.
