Since Mr. Murphy seems to stick his nose into everything else, and he's visited me more than once or twice. I found this: Murphy's Garage Law......
Regardless of the number of bins, organizers, coffee cans etc. full of nuts/bolts/screws available, you won’t have the required item, or enough of them to complete the task.
Anyone have any others?

Regardless of your organizational ability, when needing a Phillips screw driver you will only find slot type or vise versa!

The second part of this is:
When you drop a tool or fastener in the engine bay, the chance of it actually reaching the ground is dependent on the time of day, your fatigue level and the phase of the moon.

You drop a screw, see it, can't reach it, get magnet, find out is stainless, DARN.
