I'm the 2nd owner and the shift boot is torn and the ebrake boot let's all the heat through from the tranny. Both need to be replaced. Was thinking of fabricating some aluminum under the tunnel to dissipate the heat and then do a double boot. Any suggestions on aftermarket boots.

I actually used a parking brake boot for the shifter. The rubber boot isn't very compliant and has been known to pop the car in neutral. It happened to me a couple times and that was it!

I did not like the rubber boot or the e-brake so manufactured my own. Used Tandy leather cow hide stamped like snake skin.

Has anyone considered using a shift boot and trim ring from a 2000-2006 Audi TT? I think it could look pretty cool.

If you want the FFR EBrake boot let me know I just found mine with the carpet and won’t be needing it.

I second the redline option. I'm very happy with the products I've purchased there- ebrake boot, shifter boot, and arm strap wraps. You can pick and choose the fabric, color and trim.

I did the Redline as well. It's very nice. I put the FFR rubber boot under it, mainly for a bit more insulation.
