Ok so I'm prepping to fire up my 351w tommorow morning. What are you guys using for sensors?? Do 5.0 sensors work? I'm assuming the only ones I will need are the oil pressure and water temp sensors. No oil pressure guage comes with FFR gauges so no since in having a sensor. The oil pressure guage I am assuming goes into the bung welded into my canton road/race pan next to the dip stick bung. Would that be correct. Water temp will go into the water neck. Voltage connects where?? Also do i need anything for the transmission as far as sensors? I will be running a neutral safety switch and havn't quite figure that out as well. Thanks for any help.

Normally the coolant temperature sender goes in a port in the intake manifold on the front drivers side of the engine. The oil pressure sender goes in a port in the engine block beside the oil filter attachment point. The port in your oil pan could be for a oil temp probe or a low oil level sender depending on its location.
The port in the water neck will not give you accurate engine temp readings because it will not get coolant flow until the thermostat opens. I used this port for a rad fan temp switch.

Thanks norm. I'll go grab a switch for the fan. I am once again assuming a 94 mustang gt will work. I moved the coolant temp sensor and don't have the correct (1/4") hex drive socket to get to the plug for the oil pressure.

Your complete kit included a fan switch; the factory OEM one won't work. Same with your gauge senders---the OEM ones won't work but the proper ones are included with the gauges. The oil pressure sender won't fit directly on the block due to lack of space; you need an extension tube to move it away. You can use a short piece of steel pipe but I always have reservations about those cracking due to vibration. The OEM type is shown in this photo:

They are available through Late Model restoration, Summit, Bronco Graveyard and other Ford specialists.
Voltage gauge simply gets keyed power, a ground and lighting.

Thanks jeff. I went and got oem senders. Never opened the gauge package to see them. You just saved me a headache tommorow morning! Any idea on what size pipe I can use temporarily to get it running tommorow?? I will order the piece you showed from lmr for permanent placement.

Pretty sure it's 1/4 NPT.

I know it's 1/4" Allen keys to remove it.
