Wondering what you folks suggest for the in tank pump, or deletion , to run a carb with mechanical pump?

No reason to have an in-tank pump if you're running a carb with mechanical pump. You just need the fuel pickup for the tank without the pump mounting. Commonly available part and very straightforward. Breeze has a couple options. There are others.

The pickup, comes with the complete kit. If that's what you have purchased?

I'm running the factory mustang EFI in-tank-pump, and will be installing a Holley 12-803BP fuel pressure regulator.

Maybe check the FFcars forum archives. I thought there was an Chevy S10 fuel pump that bolted in the mustang bracket and was maybe 10psi that could be used for carb. It has been years since I have seen this question though.

Yup thats the one I have been running mine for 2 yrs now. FYI if you are going to use stock EFI pump, regulator, and return lines it wont work with 5/16 supply and 1/4 return as supplied by FFR. Been there done that ergo why I have that pump. In order to be successful with a regulator you need a return line as big as supply ideally run 3/8 to regulator and back to tank. I decided to swap out pumps instead of swapping out fuel lines.

Th OP specifically said he was running a carb with mechanical pump, and wanted to know what to do with the in-tank EFI pump. Apparently he wasn't aware he could have a pick-up without a pump. No reason to make it any more complicated than that.
