I know that this is my build, and all the final decisions are mine but I would really appreciate everyone’s review and feedback of my Plan.
I started working this problem of a roadster build since October of 2005, and knocking off various home tasks to get “approval”.
I'm trying to finalizing it and want to place a kit on order in the next month.
I have already had a TON of help on ways to spend my money on all the cool things I’ve seen on the forums.
Thanks! (And yes, I did essentially copy MPTechs' format!)

Comments on the other forum have included:
1) re-think the manual vs. PB issues,
2) 3.27 vs. the planned 3.55s with the Coyote power,
3) Russ Thompson TS vs. the Probe TS,
4) recommended a Hydraulic clutch,
5) Pully mod for the e-brake relocate
6) Tangent Roll Bar kit,
7) Consider custom headers.

Anyone here have any comments?

Chris, I'll dive in since I haven't read the post on the other forum. I really like my power brakes but I also have ABS. I have never heard anyone say they should have gone manual vs. power brakes. I do get a bit of fade when over using the brakes but that is more due to the brake size then the power assist. You really won't notice any difference between the 3:27 vs the 3:55 gear they are just too close in ratio. With the Coyote horsepower I would probably go with the 3:27 but that's just me. I have the Probe turn signal set up and could not be more happy. Sure it doesn't look traditional but neither do cup holders. It offers far more convenience then the other set up since it also does hazards and high/low beams, I like it. You can't go wrong with either clutch set up. I have a cable actuated clutch and it works just fine. There has been recent discussion about the FFR ebrake set up and in all honesty it work great if installed properly. Tangent roll bar trims are great pieces and you can't go wrong with any products for Don. Custom headers are very expensive. I would start with the FFR product and repalce later if they are not to your liking. Hope some or all of this helps.

Experienced opinions are always helpful.
The ABS was something I'd been thinking about. The manual brake comment was from Fast Freddie when I contacted him about his electric PS set-up, and asked about that running the hydroboost (I assume that hydroboost is what you have, not vacuum assist?)
Did you have any difficulty locating your Probe TS set up?
As far as custom headers are concerned I thought those would be big bucks, but figured it couldn't hurt to check.

Thanks for your comments.

Hi Chris,

I am building almost the exact setup that you talking about. I should be a couple months ahead of you in the build. Keep in touch and I will keep you updated.

I ordered my kit a couple weeks ago and should have it delivered by July 16th. I just ordered my Coyote motor and TKO-600 today from Max at Chapman Ford. I have also already ordered the oil pan and header flanges.

Good luck on your build and I look forward to trading stories with you.

Scott

Mine is from a 94 GT Mustang and is vacuum assist

Did you have any difficulty locating your Probe TS set up?
Every time I go to the Pick-a Part I grab one or two of them

As far as custom headers are concerned I thought those would be big bucks, but figured it couldn't hurt to check.

Give Gordon Levy a call, he makes some great custom exhaust set-ups for the FFR

Thanks for your comments.
