So I have installed the axle in my MK1, using coil overs and FFR four link bars, the parts included a limit cable but no reference as to where to mount. Any one else using or can advise placement.......thanks in advance!

Hey fhp1154,
There is no picture in the manual. It is described in writing. The top is attached where the upper bracket for a quad shock would go and the bottom is attached where the lower shock mount is attached. (I would send a pic, but I am to new here to have that ability yet) Hope this helps.

If you have the coilovers, Do you really need the straps?

Since there are quite a few different coil overs that might be used I won't say this is an absolute but, generally no. The coil overs will limit axle droop travel themselves.

I'm running coilovers, do I still need the quad shocks ? Thanks everyone for the help!

Quad shocks have more to do w/ which control arms you have than w/ coil overs. W/ the FFR 4 link arms and their stiffer bushings you will probably be good w/o the quad shocks. The purpose of the quads is to allow aggressive launches w/o wheel hop. I would try w/o them and see how it goes.
