Quarter Window Scoops

While I can't make any absolute guarantees at this point, it looks like there is a very high probability that the quarter window scoops that you have all been looking for that Thomas#142 used to make will become available again soon. I just wanted to put this out there since I have seen several posts and had several email/phone requests for them in the past few months.

For those who are not familiar, they are the quarter window scoops that are installed on this car:

any chance you/we could check if they will be dimensionally compatible with the quarter windows of the 818 coupe?

I'd say the chances of that are just about zero. Just judging from photos, it's a different size and shape. I would not be opposed to making them for the 818, but I don't have a coupe here to get a mould or dimensions from.

If the scoop base profile needs to be the exact same size and shape as the outside perimeter of the glass, yes....we could probably make that work.

Just a heads up, as I am sure Shane would concur, the left and right sides, if they are anything like the GTM, are no where near the same profile and/or shape, so make sure you send BOTH sides if you do this as they will likely be a bit different.

Thanks, crash. Yes....I would assume that the glass on each side are mirror images of each other....and even if they are perfect mirror images, I would still need the glass from both sides since I have no way to create a mirror part without something to build off of.

The Quarter Window Scoops are listed in the "Body Mods, Louvers, Heat Management" section about 3/4 of the way down...right above the "Wing Window NACA Ducts".
