First time here: looking for ideas or suppliers on how to install a hood hinge on an early model MK1 thank you

That hood hinge rivets to the hood and is like a big U shape. I'm sure someone still has a MK1 manual laying around they can send you the directions

If your looking for the actual hinge, good luck. They have been out of production for a long time. You might consider buying a mark3 hood and hinge from FFR.

Mike's advice is solid. This would be my recommendation, Especially if you have a single layer hood.
