Trying to get some updates on how some one 6'2" would fit in a 2nd Gen Daytona?
Anyone out there know of some one my height that drives a 2nd Gen Daytona?
I would like to score a deal on a 2nd Gen end of year car but don't know if there are height restrictions to worry about?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Depend on your build, some people have long legs, some have long torsos.
You really need to sit in one to decide for yourself.

There is plenty of room once inside the car. Getting in and out is the difficult part. Pay attention to the height of the seat especially the outer edge of the seat base.

This past November we went down to Cruising The Emerald Coast and were able to fit my brother in the New Type-65.
My friend has the older style Type-65 and he really doesn't fit because of the lack of leg room. (Even With Kirkey Seats)
The good news is he was able to fit in the new Type-65, but it was a tad tough for him to get in and out.
You can see him Step Over my MK-4 in the attached video:

He's 6'4" with a 36" inseam (3.0 Feet Legs) with size 15 feet.

I am 6'3" and fit in my Gen 2 fine with Kirkey race seats. It is a bit tricky getting in and out though, LOL.

I'm 6'4" and I do fit in the Gen 2 with the Kirkey seats.....JUST. I tried the showroom car at FFR, I fit but not a place I would want to be for a long trip.
I still purchased the Gen 2 (had no idea the Gen3 was coming), my father is a mechanical engineer and we have modified the frame substantially to get more length and width in the cockpit.
The Corbeau seats we have ordered up are a high-back in leather, but will also need to be modified to allow for a low seat position.
I'm not sure there's a graceful way to get in and out of it.....at any height.

Shooty,
Where are you located? There are coupes all over the USA and coupe owners are generally quite happy to let someone sit in their car. FYI, I had a Gen 1 coupe that I drove for 18,000 miles of smiles. I'm 6'2", 210 lbs with a 33" inseam. I had the Kirkey low back vintage seat mounted on the floor as far back as it would go. I had plenty of legroom and when wearing a helmet, the helmet would just brush the headliner ... not an issue, but it was noticeable. The Gen 3 floor sits roughly 2.5" lower so that would be additional headroom. The Gen 3 door is 3.5 " longer which does help with getting in and out. I sold my coupe about a year ago and have the new Gen 3 on order. Pros & cons ... the Gen 3 frame is much stronger than Gen 1 & 2, but is no longer the round tube ladder style chassis that is more period correct. So the choice is up to you! If you would like to ask any questions, please send me a Private Message on this website and I will give you my cellphone #.

My roadster w/ APE hard top is much like a Gen2 coupe getting in and out. Here is how I modified my seat to help w/ that.
