I've seen plenty of adapters to convert a larger size shift ball insert to mount onto a smaller shift handle, but not the other way around. Has anyone used/come across an adapter that will work for a 3/8-24 (Breeze shift knob) to a 1/2-20 shift handle (********** 427-t5 shifter)?

I purchased the ********** shifter also with the 1/2 -20 threads. I ordered a black speed dawg one from Summit racing and and went to the hardware store and got a chrome nut and washer to go against the shifter ball. I had to bore out the washer a little for a good fit to the shifter and I cleaned up the protruding brass threads with some 120 grit sand paper on a flat table. It looks very clean and nice once done. If you want to use your shifter ball your only two options are to tap out the ball to 1/2-20. Or use file and die on the shifter to thread it smaller. At the price of $99 for the shifter and its chrome plated, I think the option is clear what one you want to modify.

It is possible to drill the Breeze shifter knob insert, which is brass, out to 29/64" and tap 1/2-20. You would also need to supply a 1/2-20 stainless steel half height hex jam nut.
From the looks of the ********** photo you may need to trim off some of the threaded portion to completely bury the threads in the shift knob.
Question for those already running the "reverse lockout" 427 style shifter handle: How are you not constantly raking your knuckles or jamming your fingers on those tabs? Seems they would be always in the way.

Hi Mark, thanks for chiming in. Your suggestion is exactly what I did. Turned out nice! Haven't had the chance to bust my knuckles on the shifter yet but I really like the offset in the handle. Angles the whole mechanism towards the driver.
