95 mustang fuel tank capacity

I could sure use some help. my gas gauge only reads down to 1/2 tank and then stops. I still do not know how to fix this problem but if I knew how many gallons are in the tank I can do the mileage calculation. This tank came out of a 95 mustang. Really don't want to run out of fuel

The tank holds 14.6 gallons

What gauges do you have? Call the mfg and make sure you have the correct one. I went for years with incorrect readings so I called the mfg and learned I had the wrong one. Ordered a replacement and guess what? reads full when full and empty when it's empty.
Ezy Pezy if you can get your gage out without pulling the dash. Tell me how I know!!!
