Wow, being at the open house has really lit a fire under me. Since Saturday, I have the trunk almost completely fit, and am moving forward with fitting the hood and doors.

Once I get to the point of spraying the Featherfill sanding primer, any thoughts on doing it outside as opposed to doing all the prep inside my garage? I'm assuming that the weather is cooperative (moderate temp, low humidity, no wind to very low wind). My thinking is that since this is a sanding primer anyway, any flaws (or bugs...) will just get sanded out.

Have any of you actually done this?

Thanks in advance.

Bugs are worse in my garage! I'll plan to spray and sand mine outside under a carport. Primer dust and the body dust get everywhere during sanding and trimming. The mess you save yourself is worth it. Weather permittting of course.

no problem, go ahead and shoot it outside. Pick a fairly decent day so the wind doesn't waste all your product.

I shot FF on my Mk3 outside when the weather was agreeable and recently did a Mk4 inside only because it was too cold.

BTW, if you do not have your products yet; after using both Featherfill and Slick Sand I give the nod to SS. It builds higher, has a longer pot life and cuts down a little easier. No difference in how they spray out (use a 2.0-2.2 for best results).

Good luck,
Jeff
