I’m selling my MaxJax portable 2-post system. This is the perfect lift setup for a garage with typical 8-9 foot ceiling heights. This lift was used to finish Mk4 #7750 and nearly the complete build for Mk4 #8674. I can’t tell you how much difference there is building and later maintaining your ride using a lift versus the usual jack stands. Rather than trying to describe, you can see all the details here: http://www.dannmar.com/dannmar-products/two-post-lifts/maxjax.asp.
The lift is just over 2 years old and is in like new condition with everything working as it should. It’s completely assembled (not a small task) and ready to bolt to your floor and use. Because of the lower capacity (6,000 lbs, plenty for anything built here) and height, if you have decent concrete it will be fine. Only needs 120 volts. The columns are easy to unbolt and move out of the way when not used. The hydraulic hoses have quick connects. I’m selling because due to our recent move to a different house, I now have a much larger garage with a 13-foot ceiling. So planning to install a full size 2-post system.
New prices start around $2,000 plus shipping, tax, assembly, etc. Asking $1,500 and can deliver within reasonable distance of SE Michigan. Likely only a local sale makes sense due to weight (over 800 lbs) and size.
Couple pics in use.

EdwardB,
I'm in Canton OH about 3-4 hrs from you. I might be very interested but have a question: Would it be sufficiently supported by a standard non-reinforced garage floor to support a 3500# standard car or would I need to do some floor modification. Just want to know ahead of time what I would be really into before I take the plunge.

Several inquiries, but still available. Completely understand that mostly only local delivery (e.g. southern Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, maybe Illinois) limits the market. But that's the only thing that makes sense. One bump and I'll start trying some other channels. Thanks for looking.

It's a good deal, but not quite that good. :) They're available for less than that. Dannmar has a new ALI certified version that wasn't available when I bought mine. Maybe that's what you saw.

Possible. I thought 2899 with no shipping was a pretty good deal. We get 10 percent off coupons all of the time but I bet that item would be exempt!

I know this is an older post, but did you think the MaxJax was a good investment? Did it feel solid when you were working on the car?

I won't presume to speak for Paul, but I have the same MaxJax lift and it seems to be rock solid. I've never had any concerns about stability while I was working under the car. BTW, this lift was available at Costco, Summit, etc. when I bought mine - but that was 5 years ago and the situation may have changed. Keith HR #894

Agree with Keith. Rock solid. Every bit as solid as the full height Bendpak I have now since I have more room. Just doesn't go as high obviously. I have no hesitation recommending the MaxJax. They have a newer version (https://www.maxjax.com/maxjax/) that has several improvements. Most notably multiple lock positions with a real lock vs. the bar through holes design like I had.
