I've mostly lurked here, but wanted to express my gratitude to all of the posters from whom I gained valuable insights and information. Please graduate and welcome 8830 to the road!

And to make things even better, she won best cobra replica at NPD's Silver Spring Ford show this past weekend. First show ever - granted there were only two Factory Fives onsite Saturday, but a win is a win! LOL

Participated in the organized cruise on Friday as well and was the lone Cobra. Reiceved many compliments, and I'm simply over the moon regarding the build.

Thanks again to all!

Very nice and congrats on the award! Even more impressive is you were able to build the thing with only 5 prior forum posts! haha

Thought I would share some more info on the car now that time permits.

My 8830 (she doesn't have a name yet lol) is a Mk4, 3-link, non donor with a carbed Blueprint 347, Ford Racing T5, 3.55 rear gear, and paint by the magicians at Whitby - Indigo Ink, for the record.

The moment you realize the thing is actually real for the first time:

Mix in one Ford power adder...CHECK:

Off to Whitby for some fancy clothes:

Can't thank Jeff and the rest of the crew in Greensboro enough for the beautiful bodywork:

It's not official until it's been on a Slurpee run. (Coca Cola & Cherry Mix for optimal performance.)
