Hello folks-

As some of you know, I recently won the engine in the contest sponsored by the folks at BluePrint Engines. I have been working with the team there to select the right engine for my project. They have been awesome to work with, and have helped me to select a great engine and transmission combination.

The contest offered a well sorted 302 package that was terrific. However, I have been planning on a 351 based engine from the beginning of my build plan. When I shared that information with the team at BluePrint, they were happy to allow me to upgrade my engine choice to what you see here. What I ended up with was a very, very nice 408W, engine dress kit, and transmission package with the specifications outlined below. Although the engine was delivered a short time ago, I have waited until my boys were able to be with me to make my post about the engine. I really wanted them to see the engine before you all did. I hope you understand!

I have enclosed a couple of pictures of the engine, and one picture of my boys and me with the engine. They were both home together for Christmas, which is a fairly rare event at our house. I also have posted a link to the engine dyno for those who are interested.

I am truly overjoyed to have this engine, and am grateful to the folks at BluePrint Engines that made this happen. I can't wait until first start, first go cart, and when she is all done. I know this engine is going to make her scoot! Here are some of the details on the engine package I received:

The engine arrived coupled to the transmission with everything in place. They even ground down the parts on the Tremec transmission. It was a complete turnkey set-up, and I could not be happier! I also cannot say enough good things about BluePrint Engines!

I thought you all might enjoy the update.

I came sooooo close to going with blue print. If they had offered a 351 other than strokers I would have gone with them. Congrats on the engine!

I updated the post with pictures. Thank you Kevin -- AKA Jazzman, for his help so that I could upload the pictures. I am not sure they are posted in the forum in the best manner, but they are in there, and you all can now see them. I hope you all enjoy them.

Thank you for taking the time to look at them!

Regards,

Steve

You will love that engine. I did a 408 short block this past spring w/ a bit more compression and a bit less cam. I am super happy w/ it although I may upgrade the cam one step.

Looks great Steve. Congrats.
I see the dog is trying to work his way into the photo credits as well. Great you could have your boys there to see it.

Congrats! That is going be an awesome engine in your car. I have a feeling the money you saved is going to be spent on replacing rear tires ;) I helped put it in the crate before we shipped it to you. Beautiful Engine.

Just an FYI for anyone interested in a BluePrint Engines 351 based FFR package; we are currently looking at putting one together. Stay tuned.
